Well I don't know what her donor looks like but everytime I look at Mabel I see Chentel. I think she looks exactly like you!! She doesn't have your hair or eyes but her little facial features look like you Chentel. She loves to work with Momma, and when she is "working" she is really into it. She gets that from Carrie. You can just see her soaking it all up. I love to watch her and Carrie work in the yard or on the chicken coup. Thanks for sharing her with us. She's a little cutie-pie.🎀

Well I have 4 children and they all have beautiful "gifts" that we're(their Dad and I)not exactly sure where they got them from. Unless we know our DNA, we just can't know. Somethings go back generations. So...who knows but one thing is for sure...those curls are to die for and are so striking that people just can't help but notice. Whatever you and Carrie decide to say, one thing is for sure, Mabel knows who she belongs to and comes from and she is so dearly loved. You guys are just the best. Love you all!

Whilst I agree with what has bin already said I do feel the most important thing here is that Mabel and you both are comfortable with your family unit and that Mabel understands that her donor gave her those gorgeous curls and that she does in fact have a donor, lucky girl! It is not important that strangers are given the benefit of your information, I’ve made excuses for myself all my life and as my mother used to say “you are not here to educate other people” it’s quite easy for you to just say the looks are in the family, (without being rude) it’s not going to enrich these strangers lives to no that your daughter has a donor! And when Mabel is old enough she can make the decision about telling others about her donor as she will be a happy secure & confident little girl having had all the important conversations with you all her life. Love you all ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I would just say something like, "Well, me & my wife both have straight hair so it must be from the donor".

My advice is to focus less on what the person asking the question hears from you and more on what you want Mabel to hear. {I'm the child of a gay parent and am Bi so I come at it from both sides here}. What you reply may or may not have any impact on the stranger asking the questions. But it will forever have an impact on Miss Mabel. So even if it means feeling uncomfortable while you reply "Nope, but I'm a very proud first time Momma!" Or "We're a two mom family but her curls are compliments of her amazing donor!" Etc, it will be worth it for Mabel to hear those consistent, positive messages. And hopefully she always feels as proud to introduce her Mommy and Momma as she does here because geeze that's adorable!

I would think blonde hair comes from Germany as opposed to Mexicans or Native Americans. I've only ever seen them with dark brown hair. She definitely looks a lot like Chantel, that's for sure!

She might have some of your donors.Spanish looks but after that she is every inch an Ivy! She is of course a little Chentel in mannerisms and facial expressions but she is Carrie’s daughter through and through. When she is in Carries arms there’s no mistaking who she is and when she is with Chentel she is a little carbon copy! She just gets the best of both of her worlds ,,,,,,,, lucky girl, she is picture perfect! Love u all ❤️❤️❤️❤️

I think she looks just like Chentel with lighter hair and eyes. When she is serious and concentrating, she has mannerisms like Carrie. When she is being silly, she's like Chentel. Yeah, she has the best of both of you!
